Mary Marcia Crowell

Mrs. Mary Marcia Crowell, 69, of Eolia, MO, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, MO. She was born on March 5, 1942 in St.Charles to Joseph A. and Marcella R. (Heller) Potter. Mary was the oldest of five children. Growing up in a large family meant caring and sharing with her siblings: Thomas, Timothy, Joanie and Susanne. She met her future husband, Larry Crowell, while working together at the Harris Mfg. plant in Brentwood. They were united in holy matrimony on Sept. 20, 1965 in Murphy, NC. The couple was blessed with a son, Anthony. Mary had enjoyed bowling and working in her rose garden when she was younger. She was fortunate to have a loving family that was so very important to her. The Crowell's moved to Eolia in 1994. She became a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Mexico, MO. Surviving are her beloved husband, Larry D. Crowell of the home; her son, Anthony and wife Barbara Crowell of Affton, MO and a granddaughter: Moira. Mary is further survived by her brothers: Thomas and wife Jane Potter, Timothy and wife Rosa Potter; and her sisters: Joanie Mueller and Susanne and husband Neil Saettele. Also surviving are her sister-in-law: Vonda Bingham and her brother-in-laws: Melvin Crowell, Lonnie Crowell, Ronald Crowell, Keith Crowell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-laws: Frank Mueller, Malcolm Crowell and Danny Crowell.

A funeral Mass to be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Mexico. Fr. Jordan Fahnestock to officiate. Interment to follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Visitation to be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 from 5-8p.m. with a rosary at 7p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (636) 528-8244.
